The Vets Sale - Wildlife & Domestic Animal Emergencies

Wildlife

If you find injured wildlife, please call The Vets Sale:

  • The first step will always be a veterinary examination to assess the animal’s condition.
  • After examination, the veterinarian will determine what is in the best welfare interest of the animal:
    • If the animal can recover, it may be stabilised and then referred to a licensed wildlife carer for rehabilitation and eventual release.
    • If the injury or condition is such that the animal cannot recover or be safely released back into the wild, the most humane outcome will be euthanasia.

This is the standard process and protocol at our clinic to ensure all wildlife receive appropriate and ethical care.
